I had an idea, but a moderator needs to agree.
Maybe what we need is an Alienware Issues sub-forum, with all the large open issues having a central thread focused on that problem, and then sticky it for as long as the issue is open. That way Brian or another Dell rep doesn't have to search through 4 pages of threads on 3 sub forums. If the issue is ever agreed to be solved, then the thread can be closed.
The catch is only a moderator can start a thread in this forum. Normal members need to begin the thread in the proper sub-forum first, and then if the issue gains enough traction and Dell also gives it attention, then we can request the thread to be moved to the Issues forum.
Do others support this idea? Having worked in IT support before I always appreciated a single source for tracking the issues that I was responsible for. If Dell is nice enough to give us Brian - erawneila, and I can really appreciate all the respect we give him, but if we can also make his job a little easier, all the better.![]()

Considering that most people are posting on these forums with problems, I don't think that's necessary.
In fact, if I was an engineer at Dell I'd much rather have the system that is in place now. Working on the M17x problems? Open the M17x forum! Looking for issues with the M11x? Open up the M11x forum!
It seems like problems are already neatly divided into the 3 major categories for the engineers. Merging them all into one forum would just require them to sort through them afterward to separate them back into their 3 respective platforms. -

But that is the point is that there are too many issue complaints to sort though.
The SSD performance problem in the Alienwares is a good example. A long standing problem that is being forgotten because if it isn't talked about every day it gets lost in the mess, but is still a vital issue to correct.
Maybe then all the major issues get stickied in the proper sub forum, but there are only so many times someone can scan lists of posts and not get lost trying to find the "real" thread. -
I thought the current way the forums were set up caused multi-platform Alienware issues to be put into the main Alienware subforum & system specific issues went into the subforum for said system?
I currently see SSD threads in the Alienware subforum, as well as M15x/M17x touchpad polling, multi-platform graphics drivers issues, command center issues, etc... -

Thanks.
