Whenever I would have my computer on for more than an hour or so, the touch buttons (Bluetooth, AlienFX, Stealth, etc...) would quit responding to touches. I would have to reboot, and then they'd work for another hour or so. Now it appears they've quit working completely. It wouldn't be so bad, except that my computer is stuck in Stealth mode. Is there any way to manually turn of stealth mode, or any fixes for the touch problems?

update the BIOSes to x34 and v41. that should help.
-
maybe settings are wrong....

first download and reinstall the OSD drivers. if that doesnt work update to v41. my stealth mode button just failed one day and roswell told me to do that. finally worked after update to v41 -
Aaargh! I won't let me create an Alienware support account. I enter everything (Customer ID, Account Email, Username, Email, Password) but it just refreshes the page every time.
EDIT: Nevermind, I'm an idiot. I'll let you know if the BIOS updates work. -
Man, that still didn't work. I'm on the phone with support now. This guy has no clue at all what he's talking about. Does anyone know if there is another way to get off stealth mode?
-
maybe you have to reseat the touch control ribbon? i believe there's even a guide for it on the AW support site.

I dont think there is a way to manually get out of stealth mode. I have had a similar problem, whenever I close the lid or hibernate, the touch buttons stop working. I am always careful of going into stealth mode because of this.

happened to me too, i updated bios and it didn't fix anything.

I've had this problem before.
Just uninstall and reinstall the Alienware Command Center. After that, restart and your touch keys should work again. -
restarting will make the touch keys work again, they stop working if the machine goes to sleep, or standby.

I am still having trouble finding the v41 update for the touch controls in myhive. Does anyone have a link?
