I am not much into Alienware devices, but knowing how many Alienware customers want the highest possible spec'ed laptops, it might be something temporary, like a shortage on parts at the moment.

PS: The dual/multi card ATI is called Crossfire.

Yeah, what else could they offer? Crossfire ATi is the only option here in UK for the R2 M17x. They can't send you a laptop withour a display adapter - doesn't work! I am assuming that it is a glitch with the website, which will most likely pass over in a few hours.

During the last 2 weeks, France M17x pages have been down for 1 week, then they got up with only 1 4870 option, then yesterday we had the crossfire option again.

And today it is gone, 1 4870 only.

Best tip is, call them. They are still available at all times, even though the web says it is not.

Sounds like they've been giving too many away to grumpy nvidia customers and haven't got the stock levels steady

It means. . . DAMN IT. . . I get my ATi first! Then, and only THEN, do the other R2 owners. Ha! Ha!
