I called up today after several unanswered emails about a few problems I'm having with my m15x. Firstly there are dead pixels in the centre of the screen, secondly I've got a crack developing to the left of the touch pad and thirdly I'm getting some errors when running orthos. They were helpful enough but the response was we are having problems with the depot it make take a couple of months to fix. Or I had the option of waiting until they had sorted out their problems. I appreciate being told before sending it off but it's not very impressive. Plus the tech response was they will fix the screen and may look at the other problems! I asked if that was may or will, he said he had put it all in the notes. Doesn't leave me with a lot of confidence.

I thought I'd hang on to it for now.

Assuming you have warranty? I think it'll say on there that they only have to fix things which affect the use of the machine or something similar. So if the crack that you mentioned is superficial, and not going to be a problem they arn't likely to give you a whole new case or panel. Don't think they're obliged to fix software problems either which is why they said they'd only 'look' at them.

Wonder what the problems with the depot are. As it's a main topic around here at the mo perhaps they're having a big sort out before the new line comes in

I assume the crack is heat related though as nothing has been dropped on it, it is just above the CPU (extreme). The Orthos errors indicate a voltage problem rather than software (this is on a fresh build). Either way 2 months is a bit much. I assume the delay is related to shutting down Ireland?
