Ok, I have ordered an m15x like one week ago, but one of the things that made me choose the m15x is the smartbay battery.

So I asked a couple of times by e-mail/phone when the smartbay-battery will be available again (first time I asked was a month ago). They keep telling me that there is no date known when the smartbay battery will be available again. I just need to check the website...

Just wondering though: why do they have problems with the smartbay-battery when it is available in the US? Does somebody knows an answer for that (or perhaps an alienware teammember over here?)

I would really like to buy the smartbay battery now so that I don't have to pay shipping costs twice (is 30 euro's more...)

you shouldnt have to worry about faulty batteries. if there is a faulty battery there is usually a recall. even if the m15x battery does blow up the battery is in the back so you shouldnt have much to worry about. the only think you should worry about is the smartbay battery blowing up, if you are worried baout the battery.

umm...u should have bought the smartbay battery whilst you were buying your m15x. There is an option near the bottom of the page which said ' Additional Battery'. This is the smartbay battery.
