Many of the USA orders are usually fullfilled within the exact 2 weeks or before, but the european orders take a long time because they are missing stock.

    Mine took 10 days... (U.K.)

and from the moment it was paid even six days. I'm actualy afraid now there was no test :p

I think mine has been shipped this fast because they are out of 1440*900 screens and I got the 1920 one

Yea, I thought about pointing this out, but, kinda hesitant since there are a lot of UK owners here.

AW US don't have any parts out of stock at the moment I think. I got my m5550 in less than 2 weeks when I bought it last May.

    Hi.

have you seen how many days holiday you get working in europe compared to the usa.

    *************************************************
A study of statutory leave and public holidays across all 27 EU states found that holiday entitlement can vary by up to 16 days depending on which country you live and work in.

Employees in the UK can expect 28 days off a year, compared with the 44 enjoyed by Finnish workers, the research by Mercer HR Consulting found. The figures are based on statutory entitlements for an employee working five days a week, with 10 years' service.

The average leave and public holiday entitlement across all states is 34 days.

Surprisingly, Eastern European countries such as Slovenia, Lithuania and Estonia are particularly generous when it comes to time off for employees.

Mark Sullivan, worldwide partner at Mercer, said: "Holiday entitlements are a lottery. Even though efforts have been made to harmonise employment practices in the EU, there are still large disparities between the member states."

The statutory minimum number of days' annual leave ranges from 20 to 30. Those countries offering the minimum 20 days laid down by the EU include Belgium, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands and the UK, with the average across the EU being 23 days.
    **************************************************************************

7-14 days paid holiday a year in the usa is that right!

    Regards

    John.

this should not end in a discussion about "what is better Europe or America" but I think (actually I know) the "social system/social welfare" is a lot better in the european countries at least in the EU... US government is preaching democracy while living a strange form of it!
    just my 2 cents ...

here is what I think. Since AW is a US company it would be way easier for them to get everything easier and faster to the US customers. If it where the other way around like if AW was based out of EU then us US customers would be waiting a lot longer than say someone in England.

True about the holiday days. I live in Lithuania, and each year they can't decide whether to leave those holidays or not...

Australia seems to be hell fast... from a retail store they said they could get my set up 2 me with in 1week flat.. with free shipping o_O

i don't know if this is because AW retail is new in Aust and they wana make it work so they can try it in the rest of the world...?

or if AW Australia is overstocked on parts etc and have so many combos of the m15x already built and waiting 2 go that it would take 0 time...

its odd but beacuse the AUs online store shows massive delays like a month or 2 + till u get stuff....

i guess i'm lucky to be in walking distance of one of the best AUS alienware retail stores ^_^
