    Hi,

I installed ubuntu when I was on the 8800. Everything works (sound needed some work), but when I switched to intel from vista and booted into ubuntu, I realized I never installed the drivers for the intel integrated!! Does ubuntu support hot swappable graphics? How would I configure my xorg.conf to accomodate both video cards?

No, Ubuntu does not support hybrid graphics like that of the SZ. I'm pretty sure that this would require a reboot as well as the use of two separate xorg.conf files. Or, you would have to write a custom script to use the correct xorg.conf file.

In case you didn't know; whenever you have an issue with Linux, the way to go about solving the problem is a little different from Windows in that people often collaborate in online forums like NBR. As a result, almost any problem that you can have also has a solution in an online forum somewhere. This makes "support" for Linux distros, particularly large ones like Ubuntu, much easier. Take a look at these, for example:

The last thread has a script that is supposed to automate the SZ's graphics switching function. Maybe you can modify it for your needs.
