So I installed Order of War, thought I'd try it out.
Started up, went through each of the videos, developer, nvidia etc. Shows the Alienware one than my AlienFx go from blue to everything off besides the middle of my keyboard and the power button to red.
No matter how many times I enable/disable, change the theme or reinstall the command center driver from the Dell site - NOT THE CD - I'm stuck with the same "scheme".
When I launch Command Center and go to AlienFX it more or less says it can't find the device.
Sigh, tell me I'm missing something here and did not fry the mobo's AlienFX chipset.
-
Scratch that, resolved.
Uninstalled Command Center completely, turned off the unit, power cycled it for three minutes, booted back up and reinstalled and restarted and it's all as it was.
Still doesn't explain what in gods name happen. -
Luckily I got everything back once the game stopped, but dunno if I have guts to play it again.
P/S: Is it "Play best on Alienware", as it says? -
Some games have AlienFX in-game support. reference this list - may be out of date so feel free to contribute if you confirm a title supports AlienFX.
