    I wouldn't even try it.

    The M17 requires 20V and more importantly, 11amps.

    Lower : laptop will be not stable, and may get bluescreen when laptop process lots of data.
    higher: laptop will be damaged.
    unstable current or voltage input also very bad to laptop too. do make sure get a good Battery or power supply. :)
