    Hi everyone!

I wanted to post this sooner but with all the snow and rain, my internet decided to go out all night

Any way, i recently went to install my GSKILLS and noticed the three wires that connect to the wireless and then a similar wire that i have never sen before, going no where??? Does anyone else have this?? Or, do you know what it is supposed to connect to or what it was made for?!

It looks like you have a second unused PCIE slot there. That extra wire could be for a WWAN option (that could be installed in that empty slot) in that laptop

We have actually been over this before. It is a unused wire that isn't used for anything important (use the search thread if you want to find out). Main thing is don't worry about it.

Hey, any other sugestions to put into that slot?!

I know that i have the intel 4965AGN card...i was wondering if the new intel cards such as the 5350 (WiMax) cards would workout in the extra slot (if i would see a difference?) basically, what do you know about these new wimax cards and is their a reason AW only offers some of the neww intel NIC cards in the M17 and not the m15x??

well i'm sure you could replace the old NIC with a new Wimax card... i don't see much sense in having two NICs in the system.
