Hey guys! recently purchased a M17x with quad core extreme and dual sli gtx 280M, should i update my graphic drivers to:

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M Notebook Release 195
    Version: 195.62 WHQL
    Release Date: 4.12.2009

I currently have a m17x in GTX 280M SLI config with the drivers set at 186.64. Also do you think the new bios is worth updating? any issues?

Also do you think its worth overclocking the processor?

Can anyone refer me to ANY guide on how to update graphic drivers and bios please? Im new to this and help will be much appreciated.

Also i want to know if the 195.62 drivers are relaible?

Thanks for all your help guys! :)

I heard you should stick with the 186 drivers to avoid worse stuttering, i updated the bios and it helped get rid of a significant amount of it.

Supposedly those drivers support Hybrid SLi better which is the SLi with the 9400GT. Which helps with the stuttering.

    You don't specify what cpu you have but i have a P8600 stock @ 2.4ghz and i run it @ 2.8ghz 24/7.

You don't have to increase voltage to overclock for like 400 mhz so its way worth it. only a few C higher too so nothing too bad.

Thanks for that, i think i will stick to the 186 drivers for now.

    I have a Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Extreme CPU Q9300 @ 2.53GHz

Whats the highest it can be overclocked to? at a stable range?

    Many thanks
