When my system gets here, I'm just wondering how much updating will I have to do? Or will it already have all the latest drivers?

i am certain mine had updated drivers to the point of just before delivery.
you should be good to go, unless you want to update to the ltv2g drivers...
at least i am fairly certain mine did... -

ltv2g?
and what about vista 64 business? or is findvikas fix only work for premium? -

and i can not answer the vista64 biz one.
i would dare to say that his fixes could work on the biz mod as it is the same architexture (< spelling) vice trying to adapt 32 to 64. -

There are 2 things I would update:
1. GPU driver as stated by the others. I'm currently using 177.92 and not having any problems with that.
2. BIOS version. Yours will most probably come with x36. The problem with x36 is the temp reading for the cpu stays at 60, which in turn makes the fans go all out. You can downgrade to x32. So far the problems with x32 cpu downclocking occur only with the extreme processors. I have x32 with me now, and the only annoying thing is that touch controls become unresponsive when I reopen the lid and wake it up from sleep. -
): Just wanted to know so I recommend the proper updated drivers.

but seriously. I have Vista Business x64, and I followed Vikas' guide. Everything works.
Honestly, we're to the point at which the only things that DON'T work have everything to do with the touchpad... everything else is 'on par' or better.
the HD Audio source will prompt to find out what you've inserted into it, the OSD and CC works, even the AlienSense is working...
With the touchpad, you can't disable it from the Fn controls (though this may disable the light around it), the light is no longer any indicator of whether the touchpad is on, and the touchpad has no easy way of being disabled. eg. plugging in an external device will not disable it, nor will having no other pointing device enable it.
the only big downside I've discovered is that if you're doing something that requires you to have the touchpad disabled, and you forget to re-enable it, then decide not to have an external pointing device, there's no way (that I've found) to re-enable the touch pad via the keyboard.
If I could find a way to re-enable the touchpad by default when the OS loads, I'd be golden. turning it off every time I need it off is a very small price to pay... but I digress.
64-bit (business or otherwise) is good! -

I wonder if there's a fix for linux... or I'll just have to wait till they release the next bios...
haha, thanks! I'd rep you but it won't let me -

MSDN AA FTW!
And you can give his rep to me than.
Anyways, good news than, I'll get 64 on it soon, 32 is a joke. is there any difference in gaming on business vs premium?
And ryu, it is coming with vista 32bit on it.
Thanks for all the good info guys. -
doubt there is a difference in gaming from one or the other.
the differences are in features unique to biz or premium, not in outside applications. -

I'll most likly wait till my new hdd and memory get here tomorrow, maybe even wait till the weekend before I screw things up.
