when you upgrade your cpu are you reusing the thermal pad on the chipset because those don't supose to be reusable. any use the copper mod with this chipset I have to do something my gpu is running almost 90c when loaded is the only one getting that hot

When I change out my CPU (if I ever receive my system - $%&^ delays) I will be using MX-3 to replace the thermal pad. I don’t recommend re-using any thermal pad/goop. It's best to apply fresh.

I didn't apply thermal paste on the chipset I just didn't knew if it would bridge the gap? Maybe any others have idea's on this?
Just couldn't make up my mind, so I dicided to reuse the pad. Temps aren't bad at all, but Mayby it could be better? Opinions please...

Alot of the chipset pads are much thicker then thermal paste so its not always ideal to use paste in place of a pad . In some cases yes, but in this case the amount of paste you would have to use would not be ideal to bridge the gap . I left the pad on as well.
