So I've decided to get a larger hard drive for my G1 m17x. I haven't done a fresh reinstall of an OS before. I actually have alien respawn (vista) and I was wondering if I go into bios and set the optical drive to boot first with the respawn disc in when I restart it.... will it automatically prompt me to "install or run" what's on the disc? and will it pretty much install everything for me?

Edit: everything as in drivers, etc..

it will install everythign exactly how it was shipped to you as in drivers and all but you will need to update the drivers to current ones

when it boots you should be able to push a button to choose which device to boot from but it should boot from the CD without changeing anything
