    Upgrading to Raid 0 SSD Problems

    Hey

    I just got off the phone with dell... and they said that my new M17x cant be upgraded to SSD since it doesnt have sata hook ups... Is there anyway that I can upgrade still, or did i get jipped and is there anyway I may get this upgraded to Raid 0 256 GB SSD hard drive... they also said i cant upgrade to a second video card (SLI)

    should i call alienware intead... who do i call...

    I have a 320 GB 72000 RPM hard drive currently...

    I want to upgrade since it takes my new M17x around 2-3 hours to defragment, im just used to the laptop switch from a desktop times of around 10 minutes or so...

    yea im pretty confused...

    You need to call dell and tell them to send you a 2 HD caddy

    Then you can purchase SSD's from newegg and you can put them in there yourself

    seems a bit odd as they offer SSD's for the unit as well as dual gpu's...

    they won't upgrade to dual GPU's right now since its new wait a month or 2 and you will be able to ....

    The SSD's will work just fine just chill out ....

    Maybe ill call someone else thats better at their job, since this chick didnt even know what a SSD was at first... I called dells customer support #, maybe ill try another #

    EDIT: Since i didnt want to make a new thread (been adking quite a bit) so i wanted to ask you here...
    How do I uninstall the command center exactly... when i try, its says COM surrogate is being used right now... what do you do... trying to update my command center with the new one ( i started intalling new one, then says its in alienfusion is in use, so then tryed to uninstall Command center and valla

    Try disabling ALL command center things like lighting, facial recognition etc, and stop the process manually in the Control Panel.
