I flashed my M17's BIOS (W841.B10) with the 0.27 Bios, that worked perfectly. I then tried to update KBC, and received this error:
>>>>>> Warning <<<<<<
The code is unsuited for this system
Please contact with system manufacture
I now get "Missing Operating System" when I try and boot up. I suspect that flashing the BIOS has somehow (temporarily/permanently?) killed my RAID setup, which explains why in the BIOS I can see both my HDD's rather than my one RAID 0 HDD.
Is it normal to get that warning? Is my RAID setup dead? Should I just go ahead and re-install windows (if I have not ed everything up)?
-
when you reflashed did you go back into bios and make sure the right raid was selected?
-
-
So I suspect the KBC error was normal? It did not upgrade my KBC which is still 130C.
-
proably because it did not reconize the bios as it was a OCZ bios....
May i ask why you did not use .28 from Zfactor?
it is better -
idd i think everyone does that with a bios flash
i need to make a sticky just saying remember to reactivate raid -
Now to stick on a driver... I want to overclock graphics cards. I tried earlier with 8.12 but the overclocking did not stick. Can't seem to get 8.10 CCC to install either for some peculiar reason. Any one know the best graphics driver / ccc combo for overclocking GPU? -
-
use GPU tool from tech powerup and you can overclock with any driver

Woot. Will give it a shot... Although it's kind of nice reading these forums in 800x600, can see everything now without ctrl+.

I "think" he also did some tweaks to the voltages in his to make it more stable, but you'll probably have to ask him to be sure.

Did everything keep on working in your windows?
All the AW programs like Aliensense, touch etc with the OCZ bios from Z? -
When you flash from AW bios to OCZ bios, you have to re-enable raid in the bios before you attempt to boot (if you had raid enabled before) and you will probably have to enter in the authentication code for windows (inside your battery compartment). I'm not sure about the OSD though.
