Well You can basicly guess what happen. A can of Soda spilled onto the Laptop and soaked it. Very Bad combo.
Well the guy told me they tried restarting the computer and everything. I told them let me take a look and see if I can do anything. The Family like there no way it will work again.
I started Taking the Acer Laptop apart and use isopropyl Alcohol on the eletronics and clean all the Sticky soda off. Was suggested to Wait a few days before restarting the computer and Other Sites suggested to use Hair Driver. That did not sound like the Best idea and waving a Hair driver did not sound fun.
Was thinking for a bit and look at my Alienware M17x laptop and was like Warm Dry air coming from the back of my laptop why not use it. So I set All the Eletronics behind my Laptop about a foot away all upright. So the heat Hit the eletronic parts and slowly dry out the parts. Then I started played Lord of the Rings online for a total of 6 hours. After the frist two hours I rotated the parts. Then 2 hours Did the Backside which was not soaked then keep playing and rotated in a hour and played lotro. Every seem to be dry
Then I started Putting the Laptop Together and came the best part. I turn the laptop on and it Worked. Called the guy the next day and told the family the laptop is working. By this time They already got a new laptop.![]()
