    Heya guys,

Just trying to rig up my M15X to a projector, the laptop has got what the manual calls a VGA port on it. However I've never seen a VGA port that small before... What cable should I get if I want to connect my laptop to a VGA projector? There's no way standard VGA to VGA would work. Is it a mini VGA to VGA I need?

I wanted to ask you guys because I checked wikipedia for mini VGA ports and they showed an iBook port I think it was, and it didn't really look like the port on the M15x =/ and the manual just says VGA.

    Anyway, many thanks,
    Joe

See if a VGA plug will fit. If not go the an electronics store with the projector cord and the computer and say "I need an adapter so I can plug this into this." Most good electronics store will be able to help you. You could also post pics so we can see just what your talking about.

the vga port is just like any other vga port I've ever seen. I just used it the other day for the very first time .. hooking it up to an older tv that has no HDMI... worked fine

It just doesnt have the screws holes.. Other than that, as stated earlier, its the standard VGA port!

Ah I guess the lack of screws threw me, the added bulk of them on the male
VGA connectors always lead me into the false belief that VGA ports were bigger.

Cheers guys and sorry for my idiocy. I am however happy cause I now have an easy fix to my problem =)
