Is the 32 bit and 64 bit much different when used on the M15x?
Also I dont think I saw an option in customization of the alienware m15x that asked if you want 32 or 64 bit but I may be wrong and just forgot...
Anyways my laptop is a 32bit Vista ultimate...
Is there any way to get the 64 bit? Do I have to buy it from alienware, do they even offer it?
And is 64 bit much better? I got the 4gb of ram and I heard there was no point in getting that because their not fully used anyways...
Ahh someone fill me inThanks.

If you can go XP-64 bit XP, youd be much better off than vista. -
if you have 4Gb of RAM, that's a big YES.
regarding XP, remember you'll lose DX10. -
Actually I think X64 Vista has more support than X64 XP now.

I echo Stone. Go for Vista x64 if you really have to, XP64 is not really a client OS it's a server class product and not recommended for home/casual users.
You will gain performance & will be able to use full 4gb ram. Yes, you might run into small issues but there are many people here @ NBR to help you. In case you want to upgrade to x64... see my signature for link to my guide.
oh yeah.. you need to buy a retail version of vista to get 64bit media. -
I have a question regarding Vista 64.
I had XP 32bit, i can install a printer drive in my xp, and the printer is USB attached to another computer "B" in the network.
I can do the same with vista, but can't do it with vista 64. The error message is that the server does not have the right version of the driver. I suspect that my vista 64 are looking for the 64 bit version of the driver on "B", but my "B" is a XP 32 bit. How do you solve it? -
Ok.. you printer can be attached to any machine (32,64 or even linux) but the your vista 64 is actually looking for 64bit driver of the printer and does not care about what version or OS you are running on target machine. get 64bit drivers from your printer manufacturer.
-
Yup, did that. And the fact that the printer is USB connected to network computer, so it's not the real Networked Printer. So, the vista 64 bit printer driver cannot find the printer, because it's not directly connected (USB or real network). It's connected to a computer in a network instead.

"Is the x64 driver installed on the Home Server? Make sure the driver names
are exactly the same on both 32 and 64 bit platforms. If the driver names
are different, they are not that same driver.
When the driver names do not match, setup a local printer on the client
machine that uses a Local Port redirected to the printer share (the port
name will be \\HomeServer\PrinterShare), then select the inbox driver for
the device"
I love google, it's my best friend. -
