I am doing a clean install of Vista 64 bit over the original 32 bit OS on my m15x does anyone know of any issues involving alien re-spawn and if it will still be accessible after the new installation or of any other pitfalls that I may encounter post install?

    Thank You

you will not have alienrespawn anymore once you reformat since it overwrite the master boot record. The 8 gig hidden partition will still be there so if you do need to use it what you can do is to set that partition as the active one using any drive volume managing software and go from there. There was a way to bring it back as well but I do not have the link with me and it was a tedious process as well.

i thought it was recommended, or at least prefered to just do a blanket install and redoo a partition if you wanted one....but i could be remembering wrong.
