    Vista on new alienware m15x ?

    I get the BSOD installing vista on my new m15x.
    specs -
    i7-620
    4GB
    nvidia 240m
    500 gb.

    do i hv to hack the installation disc for drivers and all ? Is there any guide around ?

    win 7 on alienware doesn't run Age of Empires II

    It's not designed to run Vista, so it might not at all, although it should still be able to...

    Still, Age of Empires II should still run in some form of compatibility mode. Or in Windows XP mode, if you have Professional or Ultimate 7. Still, that's no guarantee.

    I'm sure you can get Age of Empire to work on Windows 7 you just gotta use some workarounds to get it all going.

    Or you can just use VirtualBox: (which is free software)

    http://www.virtualbox.org/

    and install Windows Xp on it. Its verified that AOE2 works there.

    Btw: did you try to disable aero?
