I have a quick questions... when you right click on computer, properties, advanced system settings. In the advanced system settings you have performance settings. One for best performance and one for best appearance. Does it really make a difference for gaming performance if you choose best performance? I see all the options listed and they are for windows 7 visuals or looks. When we are gaming we are usually in full screen. So, does having all the visual bells and whistles enabled directly impact our gaming performance?
Thanks for all your facts and opinions!

Aero disables it self when you play a 3d game, and most of those settings wont even affect games (minimize windows/shadows etc) so you will probably see 0-2fps difference at best
