    WEBCAM not working?

    Device Manager shows:

    Imaging Devices / facap, FastAccess Video Capture

    Device Status = This device is working properly

    I clicked FN+F9 but still cannot figure out how to get the camera to work.

    I downloaded a software, ManyCam 2.4 but it just shows colored bars and no picture of me.

    Try going into device manager, to the webcam, and uninstall any of the webcam drivers that may be there, then reboot.

    If it still doesn't work, heres the official creative labs driver off the dell driver dl page:

    If all else fails, your built in webcam is most likely broken. If you can, get dell support to replace it. I believe you can order the part and replace it yourself, but taking apart the M17x screen enclosure is tedious and difficult.
