I was just finished playing Devil May Cry 4 on the M15x with the powerful 8800 card and the card was blazing hot around 91C, how bad is it for the video card to be so hot and how long before it breaks?

Im waiting on my notebook cooler and I cant wait to see if it makes any difference at all... I even read a post on the forums about someones card frying. By the way awesome game, I suggest you all go out and spend the $20.00 on the PC Version, its a really cool game.

Just a side question, I was wondering how the Blue Ray works on the M15x? Is it just a Smart Bay Drive or are there also internal parts?

shake: did you not also say you were using the older BIOS? (in another posting about temps)
while your choice, the simple fact is that the temps will be higher since the fans runs less in the older BIOS.
yes, i would recommend a cooler simply for longevity of the unit, but in the same respect, simple things can be done to lift the unit to assist in airflow with no cost of purchasing a cooler.

as far as blu-ray - it is simply the SB unit. all the internals do is what they do right now as it is.

91 degrees just simply means that there's something wrong with your computer, which may either be older bios, maybe bad drivers or dusty vents. Mine goes up to 87 at the most demanding games, and stays at 80 on games like WoW.

...or just boot from a USB stick.

about the vents: open service cover, remove heatsinks, clean heatsinks and surrounding areas (includin fans) with compressed air.
