Went from Phase 5, and back to 1?!

So, I've been idling in Phase 1 for roughly 10 business days, and that's after I received my confirmation contact from their financing department. Just recently, I finally went into Phase 2 after calling them and e-mailing numerous times regarding my order status. I thought it was strange that I was approved and it took another 10 days to get my order into the queue.

Then, just yesterday, after calling them the third time, I finally went into Phase 5, I thought "Finally! Great!". And just recently, I checked my status for the first time today, and I'm back at Phase 1...

What the heck is going on?

 

Might be an issue with the phase site, give them a call to make sure.

 

Yeah, I wouldn't take the phase page to heart. It bugs frequently so it kind of freaks you out when you somehow get to a phase you're not supposed to be in.

 

true that...I went from phase 8 to phase 1 overnight...AW rep told me not to worry about it, he said the page was a bit buggy...

Don't be surprised if it hasn't already been done. Phase game is just that, a game they play with your patience and if you let them, they win all the time.

 

Yeah the phase page was quite buggy for me as well but my estimated ship date was jan 19th yet my m15x arrived early on the 16th so I would not worry about it too much

 

Page was also buggy for me, said I was in phase 5 when I was really in phase 7 per the support rep

 

i dont get it, a computer manufacturer, that is now owned by a megacorp, cant seem to get a good update phase webpage going...

but yea, they play with you like that , just a reminder, if you say that you dont want to order it anymore, they'll push your phase to 6, so you'll have to pay a fee to stop the order, at least that's whats happened to me, but i finally came, two weeks late. lol

 

Update: I've just discovered the issue with the status page occurs only on the weekends, I think. Anyways, I'm back at Phase 5 now.

I sure hope this M17 of mine will be more reliable than their status page...

 

I always found that if I just hit refresh a few times, it would eventually show the real phase.

 

Update: Phase 6 now. AW advised that my PC will most likely ship by Wednesday or Thursday.

 

the order status page is a little whacky...I was in phase 8 on friday, then phase 1 all weekend, it went to phase 9 this afternoon -WOOT! Right on schedule...man, I can't wait!

yea i emailed roswell after dealing with butt nuggets , and they said i wasnt getting the required benchmarks.....so i do not know whats going on imma pm armando tonight but you are lucky lol i hope you savor it because someeople cant lol

 

I have this strange feeling that the order status page only works during the late night. Throughout the day, I was at 1, now I'm at 6.

I was stuck in phase 2 for a week and emailed the customer service if there was some sort of problem with my payment method. Got a response back that everything is going as planned and I was in fact in phase 5 now. Let's see how long the last 4 phases go...

Can't wait. It's pretty awkward to keep borrowing her's beat up HP Pavilion.

What?! Seriously?! That's ridiculous. It doesn't take more than 1 day even, to install Windows and drivers.

 

dude im so serious i got angry when i saw that post ! lol i was in phase 6 for like 4 day then to 7 for 4 days then back to 6 for 2 1/2 weeks now .....i just threatned roswell and alienware support move it by wednesday or im canelling and building my own

 

Yeah, it should be really fast from here on out. The first 3-4 phases are the longest. It took them about a few more days after phase 6 to get my system shipped.

I would feel alot less disrespected if they just went out and told me "Our technicians having difficulty with the system", rather than just telling me "It will go out soon".

I paid $3,000 for my system, the least they could do is be rather prompt with the manufacturing and not have me wait a month for it.

 

Agreed. There are some things Alienware needs to improve on and I'd say this is one of them.

Ok this is weird... I ordered my M17 one week ago, I was in phase 5 yesterday, now I'm in phase 9 and it says "my order is shipped". It sounds cool though and very fast indeed, I just really hope they did those system tests and quality control etc.

 

you suck so bad i hate you ohhhhhhhh why AW why? thats normal for it to go by because install windows and testing only takes 1 day .... but for me it takes 2 weeks !!! lol ok im done venting good luck with they system and lucky you

European lappies (such Mortemia's, seeing how he's from Finland) are assembled in Ireland IIRC.

Only thing standing between me and my lappy is DHL and they have a weird way of f***ing up every single delivery they've made to me.

 

I ordered mine two days ago and its in Phase 8. Either the page is buggy or they don't want to give me time to cancel my order. What are the rules on that. I don't want to cancel it but what if I never opened the box and sent it back. Would they have to give a full refund since I never used it or would they still keep the 15 percent.

 

dude i just wanna say screw you all lol .... i dont understand i have asked alienware armado roswell and order support what was wrong and they all wont tell me ... i just want to know what could have really been screwed up. is there a policy they wont tell?
