    Hello.
I am taking opinions about good gaming laptops or high performance laptops.
    i have US$2300 (maybe a little more).
With this money i cant wait a Nvidia 8800 GTX SLI, i know that, but i dont need this card, (my college life over & i cant play in my job lol) a single 8700 GT is fine for me or maximun a single 8800GTX but is not priority.

    My Configuratios is:
Intel T9300 (2.5GHz, 6Mb L2, FSB 800MHz) : I read that T9500 is only 0.1Mhz more speed and cost US$250 more, so, never!!! and X9000 is downcloacking in much laptops so...... T9300 is ok for me but i am taking opinions

    Nvidia 8700GT
    4Gb RAM DDR2 667 or DDR2 800 depending of laptop.
please dont say "wait for DDR3" , just go to this link and discover the sorprise about DDR3 http://www.breakitdownblog.com/ddr2-800-vs-ddr3-1333-does-speed-matter/

    default CD/DVD writer

and screen ...........ummmm with US$2300 i think that i cant buy a 17" gaming laptop but if you have a good option please comment.

So, if you have US$2300 what laptop you buy? and why?

    Thanks for reply!!!

Clevo M570TU (Sager 5796) is best bang for the buck.

Hi Guys. i saw the Sager NP5793 and with my US$2300 dolar i can build a strtong laptop with nvidia 8800GTX and intel T9300 !!!! i am happy.
I saw the SAGER NP9262 and i can buy a Intel Core 2 Quad 6600 2.4GHz but with Nvidia Quadro FX1600. and i have some new questions

1). Nvidia Quadro FX1600 is better that nvidia 8700Gt right? but this card is not for games, so can i play haevy games (Q4, Unreal tournament III, Crysis) with this card or Quadro FX is only for Autocad and professional application?

2). I like play UT3 and i will play Crysis someday, but i an not a dedicated gamer!! (i have job so i dont have much free time), but i do VIDEO EDITING to much, (AVI to DVD Conversion, Build DVD, etc) so, is better for me the Quadcore right? 4 cores is better for VIDEO EDITING and Dual Core with more Clock Speed is beter for games right?

    3) And the last thing. I customized my laptop without operative system. But i dont undestand something: if i dont buy any OS, the laptop con with a CD with Drivers or Sager only give me the Drivers if i buy the OS

    thx!!!

    1) Quadro 1600M is equivalent to the 8700M GT
    - it can still play the latest games, but not at max quality settings... as compared to getting a 8800M GTX

    2) if you do video edit, then getting the Quad-Core will be best.
    - no notebook dual-core can match the raw power of even the Q6600

    3) the Drivers discs are always included, regardless if you buy with an OS or not.
    - and its all downloadable.

    I recommend to purchase through:

They are official Sager resellers and will give you the best service/support.... their reps here are very knowledgeable and helpful.

I dont think Quad core cpus will be good if your into games. Most Software companys are to lazy to work there games to use 4 Cores. At the Most they will use 2 Core.

I hope you realize current games and future games are multi-threaded.

Games like UT3, Bioshock, Crysis, etc... will use as many cores are you got available.

and a Q6600 2.4GHz can easily outperform any mobile Core 2 Duo in benchmarks.... even 3DMark06.

I will force my pocket (money)and I will buy a Quadcore.

Anyone know how much is the taxes for buy in www.xoticpc.com.
When i finished to customize my laptop with the following features:
    SAGER NP9262
    Intel Core 2 QUAD Q6600 2.4GHz w/ 8MB L2 Cache - 1066MHz FSB
    512MB PCI-Express nVidia GeForce 8800M GTX DX10
    4,096MB DDR2 800 (2 SODIMMS) Dual Channel Memory
    160GB 7200RPM (Serial-ATA II 300 - 8MB Cache)

(My Shipping Address and Billing Address are in USA)

the Cash Discounted Price is $2436.64. When i add the laptop to shopping card, the Sub-Total: $2,512.00 so, were added US$75.36. This is the Tax ??? or the total price is superior to US$2512.00 ??? Iask beacuse tax in alienware is like US$153 and here i only saw US$75.36 dolars added to my account. In the process i never saw the TOATAL PRICE becuase i did not introduced my credit card number. PLEASE somebody explain me how much is the tax or the taxes process.

    that might be the shipping.

XoticPC does not have sales tax :)... depending on which state you are in.

I recommend to PM Justin@XoticPC, he is always checking his PMs.

Or just give them a quick call, they would be happy to answer any questions you might have.

The mALX and m9700 are still for sale by alienware on their site, and for someone on a budget not to shabby of a deal even with a solo 2.0 Ghz core cpu (minimum recommended for newer games). Both are running class 1 GPU's, and both of these systems retailed from between $3000 and $4000 just last year.
