Well according to most people, especially Mr Fox, It's seems to do everything worse then W7... Personally for me, Love 8.1... The UI get's getting used to but I'm what they say: adaptable.. Not too fussy about it and I actually enjoy the Metro apps.. Sure your benchmarking scores are slightly lower but for me, on the whole, it does much better for stability/performance in games which is what matters for me!

Yeah. UI is fine for me. It's just nice for a change. I have noticed W8 doing some strange things to my cpu c-states...and of course general neutering in anything CPU related in benchmarks. For gaming it's hard for me to say one way or the other just yet - But I don't scrutinize gaming the same way I do benchmarks so that's probably why. You're not the first to claim better gaming performance though. I wonder what results CPU heavy games like Star Citizen, Crysis 3 would show?
The nanny control, driver signature enforcing etc. is an absolute joke. Something has seriously gone wrong at MS HQ for them to think it's a good idea making people jump through a series of hoops to simply install a set of drivers. I guess the list goes on here abit too.
Long story short thought. If they fixed up the Nanny-ing and CPU gimping I'd probably be a happy camper. Both are probably really easy fixes if they decided to care. -
Windows 7 used to have lower minimum FPS and more microstutter in some games, but ever since Nvidia's DX11-optimized 337.50 driver, performance is just as good, if not better than, Windows 8. Even in BF4, despite Windows 7 missing DX11.1.

I'm using win 7 that came with the pc. Never tried win 8, but I'm recently installed win 10 via dual boot. When it works win 10 is great. My steam library loads upon replaying COD AW. I'm probably going to upgrade to win 10 when its released.
What OS do you use? 7? 8? 8.1? 10? Other?
