I know alot of us recently ordered the M17x R4 and got a 5% cash back dell gift card.

Lets share ideas on what to actually spend it on!

by using dell.com/epp then selecting healthcare I have found a wider range of products and upgrades dell has for sale.

I planned on dumping mine on extending my warranty, so its a bit closer to pre-purchase price. Eitherway, I would be spending some money there, so I might as well use that card on it.

Not sure you can use your gift card to buy warranty.

If you like the Alienware theme you could go with the TactX mouse and/or keyboard!

I called their warranty department, and gift cards can be used as payment for extensions.

Probably the headset or the cooling pad. I can't think of anything else useful.

How did you get the 5% dell gift card? Is this an official promotion on the site or was this something phone sales reps were giving out?

When did you guys receive your 5% gift card? They are supposed to get me one too but I'm not exactly sure when. I have bought it through a sales rep and he signed me up for Dell's preferred account and I am waiting for them to send me the bill (told me to wait 30 days for it). Do they send you the physical gift card through the mail or something?

You may get it via email, or even regular mail. For me it did take 20 days.

Anyway, I got a couple of things I needed: a wireless keyboard (for the couch!) and a wireless mouse.

Both under 1 unifying receiver :D

Also make sure you combine it with a 20% off accessories coupon.

Thanks for clearing that up Kovalen and WaR

I will probably get a cooling pad from them. I wanted to get some ear buds or a decent headphone but they don't carry the ones I like :(

If I ever get mine (the rep screwed up and didn't apply my Advantage benefits to my original order so I've been working with customer service for a couple weeks to get it sorted), I definitely want to get a mouse. The one I have is a crappy $20 one, ha.

Whats the better SSD on dell's site thats around 240-256gb? I'd prefer using the 2 gift cards on that than anything else I can think of there. I wish they had the samsung 830 at 256gb...

How do you get the 5 % cash back? Or is it instant on purchase?
