I plan on getting another HDD for my M17 and I was just curious as to what brand I'm currently using. I may, or may not go with the existing manufacturer again, depending on what you guys say or advise.

I'm currently on the 320GB, 7,200 RPM with a 16MB cache. Anyone know the make of this HDD?

AW seems to predominantly use Seagate drives.

I actually jusy read my invoice and I've discovered that it's a Seagate.

Should I go with Seagate again? I'm concered with reliability first of all, performance second.

    tks for the answers.
and reading on web the last reviews I'll go with SSD.
obviously about the"war" (on my mind) m17 vs m17x,
I'm totally confused at the moment,
    despite your help!
sure I'm too old for extreme gaming...

You can't be too old for extreme gaming ... I saw pensioners play WoW realy extreme :p

SSD is a good decision, but be sure you buy a good one^^ For less money you get less fun

"...but be sure you buy a good one. For less money you get less fun".
you're right, for that I was asking in the forum about brand model on
m17/m17x, indeed reviews says that the best are Intel, but I
think that with AW it's impossible for me(italy!) to choose them.
    simply I can't know-exactly-what I'll buy.
    ciao Julian!
