I am trying to flash my bios to version B14 using a bootable USB thumb drive. I have everything setup, downloaded the bios file from alienware's website and made the thumb drive bootable. The computer boots into the command prompt like it should but I can't seem to get it to start the upgrade process. Anyone know what I need to type in to get it to start? Thanks!

If your bios is setup to boot from the thumb drive it should have given you a prompt on the screen to type like "RUN" or something .. cant remember off hand..

Anyone else?

I always burn the ISO to a disk, is there reason you didn't do it that way? When it boots to the disk you will get a prompt saying "Are you sure you want to flash your BIOS" or something to that affect.

follow the guide in my sig to make a usb stick. at the dos prompt the command normally is simply flash. id have to look at the m17 one to be sure again but i know most as well as my ocz/m17 bios is flash

if u press f12..it should tell u which f key on the bottom or something if im wrong about f12.
the boot menu will come up and then u can just select usb drive and the bios update will start. -
No luck on either of those. Flash just gives a error and F12 just brings up the prompt to type in the command. I'd use a blank CD method if I had one. In my current situation, I don't have one available.
What command to flash bios on M17?
