Hey guys I have the 2.26 ghz CPU and was looking to upgrade. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on which CPU to go for. I'm not made of money so I cant go extreme cores. Or if anyone is selling a better CPU because they are upgrading let me know.
    Thanks for the advise/info.

If you have already purchased the M17, I would just start looking around on eBay for a 2.53 ghz or 2.4ghz CPU, but if you haven't, just upgrade it to a 2.4 or 2.53 in the customizations.

I already have my M17. Does the 2.53 ghz cpu have the 6mb cache?

    Thanks for the quick response.

Id love to buy that cpu and i know you payed a lot for it but I'm not sure id have enough to buy it from you. I'm not sure how much you would want to sell it for or what they even go for. If you have a price in mind you can pm me or whatever you feel comfortable with.

Just keep in mind that upgrading to such kind of cpus means that you will have to flash your bios with OCZ's ones since you cant overclock it with AW's bios (yet).

wow...only 200 for quad core its so cheap compared to getting it on alienware site. This is convincing me to get a entry level m17 and install evrything myself upgrade wise. Maybe i wont wait anymore for 4870, getting impatient :p

My budget would prolly be 300-350 at least until summer rolls around and this semester is done. Im not to worried about upgrading now cuz for the games I play everything runs well with the 2.26.
