I prefer the ones from belkin, i assume any of them would do. I had one that pretty much saved my laptop from being fried

I don't remember but it was rather small and it came with a bundle from dell, it was a long time ago, I'll try and give you a link. But basically they will all do the job.

It was kind of like his but without the usb ports and a different color, but I assume this will do too,
Amazon.com: Belkin Mini Surge Protector Dual USB Charger: Electronics
And here is a search through newegg for other models you might like
Newegg.com - belkin surge protector -
belkin definitely

Couldnt find a belkin. I got a Phillips one as my next choice.

That should do just fine...

it really doesn't matter too much which you buy, just replace it every 2 years. I'd replace the single outlet one every year or so, since the way they work is a bit different than the switch type. Anything more than $15-20 is a waste. -
Exactly - pretty much anything which will cut in the event of a surge will be fine. Don't fall into the 'Must have 40 dollar surge protector with auto email notification on fail' trap.

I'm using this:
APC Performance SurgeArrest 11 Outlet with Phone (Splitter), Coax and Ethernet Protection, 120V
It's ~$30
You don't need some crazy expensive SP but I got the APC because to me it's a good quality brand and it covers a lot with a great warranty.
I have a Samsung 32" 640, Xbox 360, a digital HD TV antenna, a small fan since it's summertime, and an M11x plugged in with lots of plugs left.
What is a great surge protector for an alienware?
