    Hello, i ordered my m15x 16.june now i am in phase 4. Can i apply student discount when i live in Slovakia? thanks a lot

    im not sure if you should have mentioned the student discount when you placed your order. also i think it only applies to customers ordering from the american .com website. i might be wrong and hopefully someone that has used this discount will reply soon.
    other alternative is to phone alienware on monday.

    PCMW allows for student discounts from any part of the world with their EDGE laptop, much more powerful and most likely going to more reliable than the m15x (it is also a 15").

    You just have to email them a scan of your student ID card and that's that.

    But for European Costumers it makes no sense buying from there. If something wrong happens to your laptop and you'll have to send it for repairs, you will have to pay for shipping it yourself.

    Hasn't there been a whole slew of nasty controversy over PCMW's purported "Edge" and even talk that the company risks bankruptcy with the whole stunt they pulled taking preorders on the unsupported 9800 cards?

    That aside... I can only speak for the American site, from which I would be buying with a student discount should I choose to buy an m15x.
    There's an option called "Alienware University" under the "Programs" tab on the website.
    All you need to register for that is a confirmed university-issued email/school email (.edu email) and a personal email, no ID scan or whatever required.
    I don't know if you're able to apply it after you have ordered, however :(

    To apply the discount:

    1: sign up for AW university
    2: sign into AW university using the aw university tab. Then CLICK, sign in. Do not press enter because it doesnt register.
    3: Click on notebooks in the AWU page you are in. Then click customize. When you are done customizing and reach the shopping cart with your laptop in it there will be at the top of the page, a discount square
    4: check the 5% student discount and click "apply"
