I'm finding this to be a useless gimmick., Like I can move my eyes around the screen and do see a circle moving according to where my eyes move but how to actually click or select what I'm looking at?
I also downloaded the Tobii Games and the eye tracking sucks I am never able to properly select the stuff that I want despite me having had calibrated my eyes![]()
Is anyone actually using this and finding it useful?

Hey Ultra Male, first congrats on your new alienware 51m. I'm planning to purchase this beast as well
via HID evoloution. However I remember reading one of your posts on (Alienware 51 owner lounge) that you had your customized so that the keyboard has an arabic layout on top of the default English. Two questions if you don't mind, first is how long did it take HIDevoloution for them to finalize the keyboard process, second question was the process time done with rush build option?
Also one last request is do you mind attaching picture showing your keyboard
I know this is not related to the topic you posted but I couldn't PM you
Thanks in advance -

Reading through your posts about the Area-51M helped me choose that one as the replacement, so thanks also for that.
As for Tobii, I'm curious to see if it's of any use as well. I'm a very long-time TrackIR user, and that for me has been a terrific tool in flight sims, driving sims, Arma series, etc. From the research I've done, I don't anticipate eye tracking being of much use, or at least as much use as TrackIR was for me. VR is a different story, but just eye tracking alone, I'm still not too sure. I'm curious to find out soon either way - definitely will try it out and see.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

Pretty much just Windows Hello on my end....I have never even tried to use it for gaming. It seems like a cool feature to play around with but I don't see much usefulness ever coming from it on my end TBH.

Windows Hello. It is nice for that, but useless and/or detrimental in games. I kind of like the dimming screen feature when I'm not looking at the PC too.
Unfortunately the Area-51m has Tobii tracking for gaming, but not for Windows Hello. I prefer the 13 R3's implementation since it just has Tobii Aware and Windows Hello support. At least with a 51m you get a Division 2 key! -
I use it for when i'm coding, or just as a mouse pointer in windows in general. By using CTRL i warp the mouse where i'm looking maximizing my time spend on the keyboard. Navigating in windows could already be done with the keyboard, using your eyes makes it faster (and can be more accurate but depends on a few factors)
Also when gaming (FSX, TRAIN SIM, TRUCK SIM, Star Citizen, The division and ARMA 3) i use it to look around or pan the camera.
It can be usefull but you have to really think about a use-case for it. Else it's just 7 IR lights flickering beneath your display (i've exchanged the tobi eye x in my R4 for a 4C from my R4. The 4c is a little bit more advanced, faster and copes better in different light conditions. the eye x sucks )Papusan likes this. -

After redeeming the code, I see The Division 2 and The Division 2 PTS in my game library, what's the difference between the two?
Never mind, I found the answer:
The PTS is a separate client from the regular game, available to all owners of The Division 2 on PC, and everything that happens there is separate from the live game. The server exists only for testing purposes, and nothing you do there carries over to the live game. It’s also periodically reset, so no character progression is saved once the server is brought down.
Due to the PTS being a testing environment, everything that happens there is subject to change before the update comes to the live server. It’s an opportunity for you give us feedback and discuss the changes before they are integrated into the live game. In other words, it’s a place for us all to experiment!
During this round of testing of Title Update 3, we will divide up the time with the Public Test Server in phases during which we will focus on different aspects of the update.
The PTS will be available through Uplay to anyone who owns The Division 2 on PC. Starting on Wednesday, April 17, players will be able to try out the new features and fixes coming with Title Update 3. Access to the Raid will not be part of the PTS, so as to ensure the entire community is able to discover it and compete at the same time upon release. We will announce the exact schedule of the Public Test Server and its phases over the next few days.Aivxtla likes this. -
The only thing I use mine for is the screen dim feature.
For example, if I am on battery, and I am using my tablet to write something, the screen dims while I am not looking.
Then, when I need to look at my laptop, screen "undims" itself.
So far that's been useful and helps save battery. Otherwise I haven't found any other use since windows hello isn't supported.MogRules and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -
IDK Mine can find my eyes... I have to "adjust myself" Anyone know the fix?
What to do you use Tobii for?
