I have a 6-month old M17x. Suddenly - my sound has stopped working. iTunes and winAmp refuse to play, Spelunky says it can't find a sound device.... help!

I think it was directly after installing vista service pack2?!

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. Under "Sound VIdeo and Game controllers" in Device Manager I see:

    IDT High Definition CODEC

(as well as three bluetooth things).

Should I try to reinstall IDT? Where's the download for that do you know?

    Thanks,
    Ian
