    What's temp1 in speedfan indicates? (m15x)

    I have m15x alienware. When I see the Speedfan i see five temp indicator.
    HD0 which i think is HDD, core0 and 1 which probably means CPU temp, GPU and Temp1. Strangely, temp1 stays 80 Celcius all the time. do u know what this temperature indicates?

    that's the CPU, which is buggy in speedfan.

    so i shouldn't trust this Temp1? it seems it stays at 80c all the time and never changes.

    exactly. your CPU is not always running at 80°C.

    That's a bug associated with the X36 BIOS. If it makes you feel any better, mine reports 80C as well.

    You can resolve this issue by flashing your BIOS to X32 or X34.

    i tried lavalys Everest ultimate edition, and still got 80 degrees C

    the error's in the BIOS, so i think all monitoring software will report 80°C.

    hi~i had tried this :took off the cpus fan~then the 2 cpus cores temp went nearly 80% ,then!!! u will find that the 80 change into 7X .i think its the ture temp at that time~

    speedfan sucks its so buggy i tryied speedfan and HWmonitor there was a 10 c difference and it was saying like 90c on one of my gpu's it was actually idleing at 49 c

    yeah that 80 degrees is just a glitch though it was something that was scaring me for quite a while at the beginning :p
