Hey, don't think i'm all Dell v.s Alienware but, I went and got an XPS almost same as the M17x but at a lower price with Dual 9800M GT's. My 3d Mark 06 is in the 11's, with SLI enabled any M17x out there with similar setup got better scores! Pls post your scores! Just wondering if M17x's hit higher!

    Overclocked to 3.55 it gets 15,258 @1280x1024.

My spec's are in my sig.

    Sry, don't have the 9800M GT's.

M17x Should get on par results with da M1730. They are pretty much exactly the same notebooks (component wise).

The M17 is pretty much an updated M9750 with the latest and greatest components! Let's put that aside and pls post up any M17x scores! Although they are similar in components AW is calling the M17x the highest score to date laptop? Just wondering is the M1730 is gonna be at that same level as the M17x!

dude, the 1730 is already ahead as u can OC the CPu via BIOS. AW bios is locked. The highest score I ever saw on 1730 was around 15k in 3dmark06. That was with some crazy OC though.

    Last one about the M17.

The only thing the M17 shares with the M9750 is the "similar" chassis and optical drive.

Everything else is different from the Montevina platform on up.

True, but also with some little overclocking he can easily achieve 14k in 3dmark06.

it is because the bios is locked and it uses a older chipset. but i know the cooling on it is very good. i think it sucks air from the front and it comes out from the back. i think they said it has 10 fans.
