As exiled says, they are OK... leave your finger on the touch button for a bit (a second or so) and they are quite responsive. For me, even the volume slider was OK.

Considering most people don't read, I'll relay a small tidbit of information that you seem to have figured out on your own...

YOU NEED TO TOUCH THE BUTTONS FOR A FULL SECOND BEFORE THEY RESPOND!

It says so on that insert that was in the laptop when you bought it!

I received my m15x on Thursday and haven't had a problem with any of the touch controls. Even the volume slider is working great.

Just wondering, but are any of you new to touch controlled buttons? I've been wondering if mine are just a good luck of the draw or because i'm used to this type of input since I own an Ipod touch.

i dont think there are alot of people new to touch buttons. its not that new technology. the touch buttons on my razer lycosa are way more responsive than the touch buttons on the m15x. still the touch buttons on the m15x are pretty responsive. it just doesnt react as fast as my razer lycosa.
