    Whats the best Bios for games?

    I have the X36 bios now, and I just got back my laptop from alienware... The problem is my games are noticably much slowler... Can it be because of the bios?


    Also when I ran Farcry 2 it said its recommeneded that i have Vista SP1 , how can it be i dont have that?

    right, im doing all the windows updates now but what about bios, does anyone know which is best for games? ( performance wise)

    id stay with x36 it was made to help keep the laptop cooler ... it added better fan control so it didnt heat up to much

    so is there any other reason my games are running slow? is old vista software the reason?


    i have 2.5 ghz with 8800 GT and 3GB RAM.. vista ultimate ( not sp)
    last time i had the laptop it was runing games nice

    check that you arent running on the battery saver profile.

    this is most likely the case. X36 is great other than all the damn fan noise

    ...and drives you crazy. and is only necessary if you have the X9000 CPU.
