    When Is the Next Alienware Model above M17x coming?

    Where can I get info about the Next improved Alienware Modle. Will they ever have a M18x with a new design and a 18.4" display?

    No idea. The consumer market right now is big on super portables. Look at tablets, netbooks, etc. I'm not sure introducing a model above the M17x would make a huge profit for Alienware.

    The M17x is already a pretty big and beefy machine. I'm not saying I wouldn't love having a M18x but I think you start to get to the point where you might end up with a ALX case with a screen/keyboard attached.

    even toshiba has a 18.4 in monitor laptop lol. its time for alienware to make more options i think. they only have 3 choices. thats pretty small for being "ALIENWARE"

    honestly I want the m17x r2. The multi color keyboard is unique and no one else makes that for a laptop. having a multi color sitting outside on a autumn day sounds good. probably looks awesome at night

    I believe there is room for an M18X, the only issue in making it is what are you going to bring in the M18X that is not available in the M17X...

    Once the refresh of the M17X comes out, it will handle the newest Nvidia and ATI graphic cards as well as the latest intel CPU and platform therefore what would the M18X bring besides a bigger screen which if it is not RGB LED no one will get anyways.

    So once they have figured this out, they can make an M18X.

    I think they could bring the following:

    - Thinner laptop compared to M17X with better performance
    - 1920x1200 RGB LED 3D screen... :D :D :D :D :D
    - Longer battery life by introducing a fuel cell battery. (It would be about time)
    - Integrated solar panels in the entire body to recharge the battery on the go. That actually could be done but the cost might be way out there... Somewhere where Aliens live... :cool:
    - A true and surround sound with BOSE speakers.

    The only thing I think they could do is to use a desktop CPU.
