Wonder why Alienware is still using slower motherboard / processors on their systems with the new Clevo 860TU has the newer 25watt 1066 FSB.
That's almost is what stopping me from buying the m15x vs. the Clevo unit.

anyone have an idea when Alienware my upgrade their processors?

well, performance-wise, there's no difference between the clevo with montevina, DDR3, and 1066mhz FSB, and the m15x with santa rosa, DDR2, and 800mhz FSB.

    Right.

I doubt Alienware will adopt the Montevina platform considering how late the m15x/m17x came out. The next-gen Capella platform is coming out in July/August '09, so I think they will be on the ball for that release.

Gotta support the team. :) It's not often you see Philadelphia in championships.

    Fett will be back eventually.
