You need to have your account number then fill in all the boxes with the details you submitted when you ordered it + your new username and password.

as crystak stated, you will have to enter your account number.
on your desctop you should have a document called my account. open this and at the top you will find your account number.

also what spec have you got and are you in europe or america.

You need your laptop... on the binder with info regarding the computer, you will find a card with Agent Id and number. You will have to use that number to set up your account and have access to MyHyve.

I was already given an account number, different from the order number, because I am now a customer having already paid for the laptop

this is where it gets confussing. the number you need will not be suplied until you receive your system. it superceades all other numbers you have already got.

I just called up CS to inquire about my order status, was told it was in production.
also asked them about the account number thingy, but they say that since Iv purchased it though my company, I wont be able to login through the website, and therefore not be able to go to my hive; rather Id have to call them up personally for any sort of help. I just wanted to confirm if this is true for anybody else in a similar position.

sorry for bumping this thread up

When you receive your laptop, you should receive a folder with it... On that folder you will probably have a card with your name (or the name of the intended owner of the computer) and a number. Use that number to register on AW website and you should be ok. I think...

when you receive the computer or your company receives it on the desctop should be a document with all the details ie. account name, account number,spec,3Dmark06 scores etc. in there will be an account number for that computer which you use to get into my hive.

now, if what cs is saying and it was built for a company i wonder if that means there will not be that document on the desktop.
    if so why not?
it should not matter who it was made for. there should still be that document on there as the details it gives are about the computer and not the person.

if that document is not on the desktop look in the user manual folder where you will also have the back up discs. in there will be a white card with the account number on it.

i would wait until you or your company gets the machine but i would definately take it further if this number was not supplied.

Yeah, I'm biding my time till it ships (a weeks time form now according to CS), and then lets see what the deal is about. Oh, and the UK site doesn't mention a mobile binder which is present on the US site. Is that the user manual folder you're talking about?
I'll specially thank you MrDJ for staying here even though your experience with AW wasn't the best

There is a binder but... no user manual! Believe it or not, there is no paper manual (or electronic for what matters) for the M15x. At least I didn't receive one.
All the "manual" is on the Knowledge base dispersed in several different FAQs.

And yes... DJ is the best! Good to still have you around mate.

There is actually an m15x-specific manual. If you go open up the start menu (in Vista), start typing "Area51-m15x Technical Reference" which is a PDF copy of the "true" manual.

I agree it's pretty dumb what they have in the binder isn't the true manual but rather some general info. That said, there is a manual included if you want to read it (it's not really got anything special)

I know this is probably a stupid question.. But can you only use the command center with the M15x? I have an M9700 with a built in camera and I was hoping to use the facial recognition feature.

    Hi !

About the "Hive Support Area" you will need to create a support account based on the account number and email or zipcode on file, if it does not let you access, make sure you guys are not submitting the info by pressing the "enter" key and just try using the mouse, once you have access you will have all the updated drivers and applications in which the Command Center is included

    Good Luck!

This is a very old thread which is outdated.

With the release of the All Powerful series (M11x, M15x, M17x), access to the AW site's MyHive is not necessary nor created for owners of All Powerful models.

For the M17x R1, use this link for drivers and support:
    http://support.dell.com/support/dow...tag=&SystemID=Alw_lp_M17x&TabIndex=&typeid=-1

    For the M17x R2:
    http://support.dell.com/support/dow...erviceTag=&SystemID=ALW_M17XR2&os=W764&osl=EN

    For the M11x:
    http://support.dell.com/support/dow...True&TabIndex=&typeid=-1&SystemID=ALW_LP_M11X

    For the M15x:
