    Hi,

I recently just got a m15x and I have read about all the different problems the machine has been giving users. Also the problem about the fans going off in stealth mode. That is why I was wondering where do you guys get those programs that tells you how hot the procs is and the fans and all that other detailed information about your computer.

    Any help would be great
    Thanks!

Sounds like your sound card is acting up. Several people on the board have reported issues with the sound card related to drivers.

I would browse around and use search to see what the trouble might be. I have not received my m17x yet but I think some people thought it was related to the Nvidia chipset drivers.

Oh this is the old m15x though not the new one. Do you think its because the drivers are not updated?

I'm not at all familiar with the old m15x, so I'll have to defer to someone with direct experience on that system.

try uninstalling your sound drivers and installing with the newest drivers instead from alienware/dell's site

i never had any problems witht he sound on my old m15x

....or with the new one :D
