Where is the [INSERT] key on an Alienware keyboard?
Is it not there?

-
Not in front of mine, but isn't it shared with the Delete key?
-
The one I'm using at work has <SCR LK> under <DELETE> on the same key.
-
There it is! But that's lame that we have to toggle <NUM LOCK> on or off to use it. I wish we could replace the <PAUSE BREAK> key instead because I hardly use that one.
-
Nevermind, didn't see your post about the scroll lock.
-
Why do you need this key? It's here only for compatbility purpose for very old software that uses it as hotkey.
-
It's still used by many document apps like Word.
-
<ALT> <Insert> is a hotkey for Android Studio that's used quite often.
The <Pause> <Break> key is probably more useless. -
Pause Break is used in old games like Earth 2150 to pause the game so it's for compatbility issues too
-
It's also useful to pause fast running batch script output. And it can't be swapped with Insert anyway due to the way it functions; it 'breaks' a running signal, but does not generate a 'make', so it cannot send the Insert code. Or any other, for that matter.
However, you can remap Insert to the Menu key. Did that for * (asterisk) on my system, which required an Fn combination otherwise. -
What model are you asking about? The insert key on one model may be in a totally different location than another model that uses a different keyboard.
Yeah, it's an important key for a number of different applications and Word (and other text edit applications) is a good common example. -
i have it: [DELETE / Insert KEY]
