I'd go for better cards. We ask cards like that defeats the purpose of a huge sli laptop. Might be better off going a single high end card then 2 low end

I doubt the cpu is clocked high enough to add the extra oomph needed to make use of SLI properly. just my opinion. I say 3.6Ghz + starts to make use of it decently enough. but 4.6Ghz really makes it work. IMO, anythng below 3.5Ghz is bottlenecking most SLI machines.

I plan to sell one of the cards, the purpose of getting a M18 is for the screen size and general comfort.

I never use my screen unless I'm on the move. I'm always plugged into an external monitor

UPDATE:
I finally bought 5 days ago a NEW Alienware 18 for 1350$ with the following specs:
CPU: i7-4700MQ
GPU: 765m GTX SLI
Ram:8GB Low voltage @ 1600
Screen: Full HD.
no info for the warranty and dvd rom. -
I would say that an M18xR2 on Dell Outlet with 16GB of RAM and 675M SLI would have been a better buy. -
Pretty cheap. People are desperate to get rid of it I guess lol

Hopefully, it is just a really great deal and not a scam. If it turns out to be a great deal, congratulations on that.
