Haven't played much FPS games lately, but for now I don't think you'll improve on Crysis based on the screenshots and sheer demand to hardware I've seen and heard about.

Photo realistic? I am not so sure about this.
I guess Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty 5, and Crysis all at full settings

A more realistic game is Far Cry 2, although really really boring

P.S. Crysis:Warhead and Farcry 2 will make your new MBP cry like a baby. It doesn't have nearly enough horsepower to drive those games at the High settings at the native resolution, so your expectations of what it is capable of might be a little unrealistic.

HAHA, man I have 9600M GT and I can't max Crysis at 1280x800

It might not be the newest game around but it rapes everything else in terms of power required to run, and how it looks maxed out at higher resolutions.

Trust me You won't go wrong with Crysis :D :D

You can run Crysis/Warhead at 1920x1200 on medium settings at a very playable frame rate with the M17. HIGH settings get a bit choppy.

Tyronne is talking about a killer crossfire 4870 desktop.

    And @turbodtalon

Crysis on very high WUXGA is very playable on the m17/OCZ wb, it's just your CPU isn't that great and is bottlenecking your system.

Not really. In Crysis picture, the water in real-life looks more realistic. Better lighting.

Far Cry 2: Lack of texture in the fence in the game picture. The grass also isn't realistic.

Games can never replicate real life graphics.

If I had a nickle for every time I've heard that, qaz. I've got an X9100 coming in the mail. That's awesome that a CPU upgrade can make such a difference.

dang it dawg that is awesome screenies i see the grass is not so life like but still wow i played crysis before but could never end the game because i'd get bored of it.

This must be a new version of crysis or something.

By the way why after all these years video cards still cant draw perfect circles ??

    @jb
No, the X9100 will not work. It is part of the montevina platform, instead of your older penryn m15x

i prefered warhead. not as buggy as crysis.

tyronne, if there are 2 games you must have its crysis and crysis warhead.
im new to gaming and these were the first 2 i bought. highly recommend COD4 as well.
in warhead you will also get a free disc for an online multiplayer crysis wars.

I wonder when anything will truly max out Crysis (16xAA, 16xAF, MAX resolution, very high everything). I wonder how good that would look.

Also, graphics cards can never draw perfect circles or straight lines. That's why there's anti-aliasing.

I played crysis the first one wasn't impressed they talked it up with dx10 which to me looked just like dx9 no difference and to add insult to injuries no video after 30 years could draw perfect circles and still cartoonistic.

Not a crysis fan but everyone is talking about it and i dont understand why. I love COD4 and i think for dx9 it is more realistic graphic wise then crysis.

Just wished after 2 years of crysis i am after something that is dx10.1 stuff.

Frankly nVidia and Ati should be ashamed of themselves talking up their product at every release yet non of them could draw a simple circle and for god's sakes why are they making cartoon style graphics for games? we should be making real life photo realistic games so that i could pretend i am flying a space craft and racing cars or pretend i am in iRAQ killing terrorists.

That's the sort of games i have been waiting for since i was a 6 year old.

DX10 proved to be bull till date, and fanboys are still hagging with the fact thats its 1000000x times better than DX9 games, EVEN on games that doesnt support DX10 -.-
