    Hey,

Along with all the threads about which model the M**X R*series laptops are. Like R2/R3 and whatnot... I don't really understand it.
I own a M15X and bought it March this year, would somebody be able to explain what it all means and tell me which model/generation I have?

It would make my life easier when relaying the issues I've been having.

    Thanks,

    T-ravisty.

If you post your spec's would know for sure. But if you got it new from factory in March should be a R2 which means it's the second generation m15x. Since they stopped making the 15x there is no R3. Post your spec's fpr any more info. ;) Hope that helps.

    Ya that's "2nd" generation M15x, Core i series processors. 1st generation was Core 2 Duo/Quad.

Lol well if we go by technicality, there is no M15x-R2 simply because the Area-51 m15x was made by Alienware, not Dell. Dell has only ever made one M15x (with the core i-series) and then discontinued it.

I know it's nit-picky but there is no Dell Alienware M15x-R2, only Dell Alienware M15x (R1 if you really want to ID it with something).

That does make sense... In a technical point of view.
    Cheer's guys :)

Now for to post another thread with my mountain of questions... :S I've had issues ever since I got it really... and when I thought all was all well and done, it all starts happening again... guh.

So without changing the thread entirely into a mad rant, I'll say thank-you for the quick replies. :)
