2nd one. They look like Microsoft Sidewinders. Both of them look mighty cheap plastic like.

I do not recommend cheap unbranded wireless mice as I doubt it will last. If you want to buy a cheap mouse, the safer route is to go for a wired one or atleast buy a branded cheap wireless mouse.

Recently I swapped from using wireless mice to wired ones, and I can tell you now that the gains of a wireless mouse are minimal. A 'decent' wireless mouse for gaming as well doesn't come cheap, so would back Simplified up and say go with a wired one, at least as an interim measure.

I can't recommend any cheap wireless mouse, but I have said this mouses name over and over because someone I know has used it for over a year. it's the M705, it can last 1 to 3 years on 4 AA batteries and it's wireless and it doesn't use Craptooth (Bluetooth). It has a low DPi but you don't need anything above 600Dpi, or if you want ULTRA performance, I highly suggest the G700, it's expensive all right, but my friend has had it for 10 months and he got it when it came out and it has got to be the GREATEST mouse I have ever seen...

I can't honestly recommend you go wireless if you have a small budget. Cheaper wireless mice are nowhere near ideal for gaming, if you want a true gaming wireless mouse you'll have to spend quite a bit.

I've got a G700 as well, highly recommend but spendy. I think it's the 510, not exactly a 'gaming' mouse but it is wireless, has decent DPI, is ambidextrous, and a good all around mouse for around $40 or so.

I've had a Mx518 for like 5 years and it's done all I've asked and more. I've brought that one to work and bought a new G7 version2 for my home gaming and it's done great also but bang for the buck goes to the mx518.
