Who's still waiting for the Black m15x

Now that Alienware seem to give you all the configuration options on the m15x minus the 1gb of RAM (in the UK anyway) who here is now waiting for Alienware to release the black m15x. I for one am & starting to get mighty pissed waiting. I'm really torn between getting the Silver now or waiting for the Black, only worry is that the Black could be released any time now.

 

I'd prefer that the black one will be released on june, with all these issues fixed and why not, with montevina. in this case I will consider to buy it.

 

I'm waiting on the Black Skullcap case being released..
I've anyways got to wait till I go to US in Aug.. So luckily I'm not in any hurry.. Hope they release it soon so that people can get it and review how it handles fingerprints

if it comes out like WLF46WLF said i would consider waiting for it, even though im already waiting till graduation.

 

I am waiting for black as well. I for some reasons assume there will be change in built quality since the silver was reported by some users are a lil bit too fragile.

Since the current delay cause by the chassis, I think Alienware is addressing the issue reported by some of current owners (even tho some don't like Chaz but there are substantial amount of owners who have and starting to have the chassis issue.

If waiting for black was only for the color itself and for sure to know it's glossy black, maybe I could still swallow Silver. Although there are chances that we all are only waiting for glossy black instead of other chances I mentioned above, I personally think this year Alienware is really responsive and listen to customers. So I decided to wait and see.

I know it's not their first time being this responsive but at least I see improvement with their mobile platform support which was horrendous few years back with m7700, m5550 --> Known overheating issues and problem wasn't address (at least this quick like the downclocking issue with 8800m gtx blah blah blah) like the treatment that m15x gets.

I know for a fact they are in general responsive and listen well to customer since I bought their limited edition p2 black case few months back. i also wait for black and full config. I hope its there before i here some rumors from a brandnew m16x with montevina I dont realy need it now and silver is also good looking.

Did someone have more good pictures from M15x in black ? Is a matte version in work ?

I'm definitely still on the waiting list! Black on black. Depends on whether or whether not I will end up receiving credit for my m5550.

 

Black Skullcap FTW

 

I'm hoping the skullcap version will come out before my laptop gets in phase 5 so I can change the order. If not, then it's not a biggie but it would just be nicer.

I think its not so bad to wait and also see whatz going on with all the problems, i feel its not totaly solved

Yea Alufoliengriller.. I'd settle with waiting to let AW step up a little more and maybe even add few more options.. Who knows, maybe even Montevina..

 

i want to w8 for black but it seems like if u order now you still wont see the laptop for another 3 month it seems like ill go with any color the skullcap does looks pretty awsome

 

black will be so nice hopefully its a m16x with the new platform and a nice config =]

 

I don't get it why it would be so hard to provide the laptop in 2 different colours and we have to wait so long for it to be available.

 

i was thinking about black before but i decided to go with silver since i think silver looks alot better than black. i do admit that the lights look better with a black case. what i dont get is even though they wont put out black for a while they should at least have skull cap for silver since i think some people might be waiting for that. luckily for me i actually wanted th m15x in silver ripley .

 

If the next case would have been black matte I would have waited a long time to get it. The shiny black looks horrible, reminds me of the white Macbook which is shiny and awful .

black looks badass on ripley and skullcap, altho im not sure which one i want... at first i was all ripley for simplicity, but skullcap is really growing on me
i hope AW releases black and all FULL config for the m15x soon, cuz waiting is indeed killing... altho i wudnt mind waiting for it to also be released with monteniva... and if AW also comes out with a glossy 1920x1200 screen , that wud be soo badass for the best picture, and it wud match the black very nicely...anyone hear anything of AW in the works of making a glossy 1920x1200 screen (... with Clearview)...?
just hope everything is released by july-ish, cuz i need one before the fall semester starts...

Don't worry, the 1920x1200 screen is matte anyway, only the 1440x900 screen is glossy :wink:

 

Wow the black looks amazing, and shiny. I am sure you have to keep cleaning it more than the silver one. I would get it though if it was an option

 

the black m15x looks pretty sweet, but i think it's going to be a fingerprint magnet.

actually there are a bunch of wii mods out there so getting the white one and then modding it out would be even better than just plain old black.

 

I'd want want one.. but I'd really want to know if the plastic it was built with was black as well and not just standard silver m15x spray painted black. I want to actually USE the thing under basic normall situations, like taking it in and out of my backback and not have worry about the occasional ding that would occur. I don't want to have to put on some latex gloves and have to operate this thing in a room full of foam padding just to make sure I didn't scratch the thing...

 

I gave up on the black and ordered it today Just hoping it’ll arrive in one piece lol

At first i terribly want a black one. However i became overwhelmed and couldnt wait any longer... I ordered it 4 hours after it was announced

Hmm.. Thinking about it.. Do you think the black colour will cause more heat absorption, less radiation/cooling and so overheat faster ???
