Why does futuremark say that I have DDR2 ram?

Is there anyway of checking what kind of ram i have without opening it?

If this is for your M-17 it is an error. Do not worry. (Shouldn't it be running at 800 tho?) If this is for your E1705 it is correct.

It is DDR3 - You can confirm in the "Memory" page in CPU-Z.

I don't know that there is a way to actually confirm the type of RAM without actually physically looking at it. You might try running CPUZ or another diagnostic program and see if you come up with the same results.

Yeah, you might want to open it up and take a look at the memory... You're just not having good luck with the AW, huh?

There ya go. No DDR2 module supports a CL more than 6.0

    And the frequency is 532 = 532*2 = 1064MHz. (DDR3-1066)

I think Everest, PC Wizard and SiSandra detect DDR3 SODIMMs, so you could try them out as well. :p

No, click on SPD in CPU-Z to see real spec.
And the ram speed is running at 532 which is correct.

    Don't worry.

For the OP DDR2 will NOT physically fit in to a DDR3 slot. You are safe. :)

Remember my words, don't freak out when you see a problem.

furthermore, DDR2 and DDR3 is not compatible. 200 pin vs 204 pin.
